A network to be proud of
We maintain a high-quality, reliable network designed with mission-critical websites in mind.
Our dual QuadCore (that's 8 processors per server) servers have dedicated gigabit uplink ports, 8 GB RAM, Raid 5 SCSI arrays, & Sentinel Continuous Backup & Recovery. Our network is N+1 Redundant, with failover climate control, bandwidth, and network equipment. We carry multiple bandwidth providers including Verizon, Savis, Sprint, and AT&T. ZERO overselling
The way the "big guys" give you super-cheap hosting with things like "unlimited bandwidth" and other too-good-to-be-true features is that they simply oversell their equipment. "Unlimited bandwidth" usually means "as much bandwidth as you can use through a tiny connection" and unlimited storage/emails/etc. mean you can use as much as you can get out of an extremely taxed server, which usually isn't much.
Overselling is very common in the hosting industry. Some companies put as many as 10,000 sites on a single server. Even typical high-volume hosts put as many as 3,000 sites on a single server. That's outrageous and unethical in our humble opinion.
You're paying for hosting that you expect to be responsive, able to handle your site's demand, and able to actually give you access to everything you're paying for. That's why we UNDERSELL our servers. A typical server with IHS has less than 200 websites, and in some cases, less than 10.
We never exceed these specs:
